PENN HILLS, Pa. — Two brothers accused in a deadly shooting in Penn Hills are headed to trial.
Devante and Donald King appeared in court Friday for a preliminary hearing.

According to police, they are two of three men who robbed and killed Kevin Trowery at a home in Penn Hills in August.
In court, the judge admitted the case against Devante King is thin.
Prosecutors had a difficult time tying him to the scene.

“We were also encouraged by the fact that three different officers and one detective testified under oath that they could not say my client was at the scene of the crime,” said Blaine Jones, Devante King’s attorney.
Surveillance video was brought up multiple times during Friday’s hearing. According to prosecutors, it shows the alleged attack. Sources tell Channel 11 the video is hard to watch.
Several members of Trowery’s family attended Friday’s hearing. They told Channel 11 that they are sick of violence and want justice for Trowery.
Jones said he’s looking forward to proving his client’s innocence.
“He has wanted to face these charges, so he's happy that he had his day in court because the evidence showed there's little nexus with him in this unfortunate death,” Jones said.
