Business owner pistol whipped during armed robbery

BELLEVUE, Pa. — Surveillance video obtained exclusively by Channel 11 shows a violent robbery at a Bellevue business.

The owner was attacked and thrown to the ground.

The assault was over in less then a minute but while the man in a mask was pointing a gun at him, the victim said time stood still.

"He said, 'Give me all your money or I will shoot you,'" Harblinger Singh said.

After that, video shows the robber beating Singh, the owner of U.S. Gas on Route 65.

"He put the gun right here and I stand up, I don't know what to do, I scared a little bit," Singh recalled.

The gunman grabbed the owner and hit him in the head with the gun over and over.

"I got stitches, he hit very hard, I don't know how I didn't get hurt much," Singh said.

Both men fought all the way out the door before the gunman ran off.

Singh is concerned the man will hurt someone else.

"I believe so, he not going to stop," Singh said.

Bellevue police do not think the suspect was behind the half dozen holdups in January and February this year, but they aren't ready to rule it out.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call Bellevue police (412) 766-7400.
