Police in Washington County arrested a man on drug charges Thursday who they had been tracking for months.

Officers arrested Johnson a short time later.

According to court paperwork, Johnson admitted to selling one pound of marijuana per week for the past three years.

Undercover officers had been tracking his movements and setting up drug buys with Johnson.

“This has been a couple-month investigation. Of course, with any investigation, there is a lot of leg work and footwork done behind the scenes, but ultimately it culminated with the event today, serving of the search warrant,” said Chief Al Coghill, of the Canonsburg Police Department.

Johnson is charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and weapons violations.

He was taken to the Washington County Jail on $250,000 straight bond.
