OAKLAND, Pa. — Pittsburgh's controversial Stephen Foster statue will be moved in April.
Last year, the city's Art Commission voted to remove the statue from public property in Oakland.

Foster was a Pittsburgh native, famous for composing songs performed in racially charged minstrel shows.
The statue features a slave at Foster's feet.
The city has not yet found a new home for it.
