Channel 11 crews on scene saw police taking a person into custody.
There are no reported injuries, though details surrounding the fire are still unclear.
The Salvation Army also provided assistance by distributing drinks, food and handwarmers to first responders on scene.
Officials told Channel 11 that it was not a major fire. It was confined to the top floor of a vacant building that had the utilities shut off earlier this week.
Officials said it was deemed “uninhabitable” because of several fire code violations. The impact of the fire could have been much worse if the utilities had not been shut off.
The Fire Marshal is investigating the incident, saying arson is likely.
Though, there is no word yet on if the man taken into custody had a connection to the fire.
