PITTSBURGH — People are making threats against the pizza shop where an incident was caught on video over the weekend.

Police have charged a manager with assaulting a woman.

Now the incident is creating problems for other pizza restaurants.

The manager at Pizza Milano describes the past three days as a nightmare.

Pizza Milano on Fifth Avenue is still closed after video of an assault inside the restaurant surfaced on social media.

Restaurant manager Mahmut Yilmaz and a woman, Jade Martin, have both been charged since the incident was recorded Friday night.

But the owner of Pizza Milano told Channel 11 over the phone Tuesday that he is still receiving threats, which is why he won’t open his doors just yet, leaving more than 50 employees out of a job right now.

Other pizza shops are afraid this incident is now creating challenges for them.

"One of our delivery drivers was approached this weekend by two gentlemen who wanted to know what pizza shop he was from," said Anthony Preston of Pizza Parma downtown. He told Channel 11 his driver told them who they worked for and the two men left without a problem.

"It was a little intimidating because we don't know what was going to happen," Preston said.

The restaurant is now taking extra security precautions to make sure their drivers stay safe.

"They're making sure that they have extra flyers, wearing their T-shirts, hats, extra gear," Preston said. "We don't know what would have happened or what could have happened if we did say Pizza Milano, we're just thankful that nothing did happen."

The owner of Pizza Milano declined to speak with Channel 11 on-camera, but said he hopes he can reopen soon and rebuild the shop's relationship with the community.
