A Burgettstown man is dead after his pickup truck crossed the center line in Smith Township and hit another pickup head-on Thursday afternoon.
Benjamin Strain, 79, was traveling northbound on Route 18 when he left his lane in the 1300 block just after 1 p.m., according to Washington County Coroner Tim Warco.
Another person in the crash has been transported to Weirton Medical Center in West Virginia.
The road was shut down in both directions at that location as police investigated.
