Flu cases may have finally peaked

The flu may have finally peaked in western Pennsylvania and across the state.

Doctors told our partners at TribLIVE.com this is the first time in two months they've seen fewer cases than previous weeks.

According to the State Department of Health, Allegheny County has seen nearly 8,500 cases, which is the most in the state.

Westmoreland County had more than 2,300, Washington County about 1,800 and fewer than a thousand in Butler County.
