NORTH VERSAILLES, Pa. — A former North Versailles Township part-time employee has been charged with stealing more than $5,800 in funds from the township.
Andrea Behlke, 35, worked as the part-time receptionist at the township building. She began working with the township in 2010.
Behlke was in charge of handling payments at the front desk, but in 2014 she was under investigation by the township and officials claim she wasn’t turning over all the money she collected.
According to a criminal complaint, she paid back that money because it was thought to be a mistake.

In March 2016, Behlke was accused of changing account numbers and addresses. By August 2016, North Versailles Township fired her.
She was arraigned on several charges, including two counts of theft and one count of misapplication of entrusted funds, on Wednesday.
Behlke was released on a non-monetary bond and her hearing is set for April 6.
