MT. LEBANON, Pa. — A man has been arrested in connection with a string of burglaries at Catholic schools in Allegheny County.
Police said Jeffrey Chambers stole $2,800 and several gift cards from Seton-La Salle Catholic High School in Mt Lebanon. He also stole from Aquinas Academy in Hampton, investigators said.
Surveillance video from Seton-La Salle shows Chambers casually walking down a hallway at the school, past classrooms and lockers, with a hood over his head, police said.

“Sometimes people may think it's a private school and, therefore, they're paying a tuition to be there or there might be more money. It was just kind of a fluke situation that there was more at this time,” Mt. Lebanon police Lt. Duane Fisher said.
According to a criminal complaint, Chambers gave recorded confessions to burglaries in Mount Lebanon and a burglary and vehicle theft from Aquinas Academy.
A digital camera, a tablet and cash were taken from Aquinas Academy, the complaint said. Chambers found keys to a van and drove it to Route 8.
