• Man charged after unbuckled toddler fell from truck, breaking arm

A Butler County man is facing charges for driving with a toddler unbuckled on his lap, police said.
State police said there was a car seat in Keith Gordon’s truck, but he didn’t use it. Instead, he allowed his girlfriend’s daughter to ride on his lap as he drove, according to police.
He then put the girl on the passenger’s side floor, police said. She grabbed the door handle as the truck was moving and fell out onto the ground, breaking her arm. She also received a cut on her head.

According to a criminal complaint, Gordon told police he’s made the quick drive to the Bruin post office with the child on his lap several times and nothing happened.
The report said he also told troopers, “Why was I so stupid to allow this to happen?”
Gordon is charged with child endangerment.
