NEW CASTLE, Pa. — Police are looking for three masked men who attacked a man on the porch of his Lawrence County home.
Dennis DiGia, 65, was coming home after taking his granddaughter to work just after midnight Tuesday. He said when he pulled into his street, he noticed three men in the alley but didn’t think anything was wrong until one of them was on his porch.

He told Channel 11’s Amy Marcinkiewicz that one of the men hit him in the head with a pistol and then shot at him. The other two stood by and watched in his front yard.
“I was minding my business,” DiGia said. “He didn’t say a word. Just pointed the gun. I thought, ‘How am I going to get out of this without being shot?'”
DiGia was hit in the head so hard that he needed 10 stitches. There’s a bullet hole in his front door.
He said the suspects never said a word. After they left his porch, he said he heard three more shots.
Police are urging anyone who knows something to come forward.
