Police are searching for a man who robbed a Subway sandwich shop in the South Side on Wednesday afternoon.
Police said the man entered the restaurant in the 2700 block of East Carson Street after 4 p.m. and asked for a cookie. He then placed his hand in his pocket as if he had a gun, but did not display one.
He demanded cash from the register, then fled on foot from the restaurant heading west on Carson.
Police say he was a white male with a thin build wearing a dark sweatshirt, black pants and a black baseball cap with a Monster energy drink logo.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
