Emergency responders rescued a man lying beneath a truck after being struck by the vehicle Wednesday night in Heidelberg.
Officials said the man was struck in the 2000 block of Washington Pike, near a Walgreens, around 7:30 p.m.

The man was taken to a local hospital by ambulance. His condition was not immediately known.
Allegheny County Police worked the accident scene, but did not say whether the driver would be charged.
