Man using social media to find thief that stole son's birthday presents

TURTLE CREEK, Pa. — A young father told Channel 11 thieves stole from his family in Turtle Creek.

Now he's turning to Facebook and police for help getting back his 3-year-old son's birthday presents.

If you name it, there's a chance Joshua Williams collects it.

Shoes and comics are just some of the items taken from his home that he was hoping to share with his son someday.

"I'm hoping that it's somebody's kids, somebody somewhere," Williams said. "You're moving well over 30 pairs of Jordan shoes, that's not one trip."

According to Williams, dozens of items were stolen from his George Street home earlier this week.

Police confirmed to Channel 11 they're investigating the incident.

Along with the collectibles, Williams said an ATV was also stolen.

"It was three days before his birthday and my mother sent a package up here from Florida. He never even got to open it," William said.

Frustrated by the whole situation, Williams turned to Facebook to tell his story.

A neighbor is also offering $400 to anyone with solid leads in the case.

His hope is the attention could lead to a clue and eventually an arrest.

"To steal from my son, that's the thing that really, really hit home to me," Williams said. "I just hope that someone, somewhere will see this and say, 'Yeah you did bring that TV in here. Where is that TV from?'"

Police have not released any information on possible suspects.
