Norwin High School student killed in car crash over the weekend

NORTH HUNTINGDON, Pa. — Friends, family and an entire community are remembering a Norwin student killed in a car accident late Friday night.

Logan Dyson, 18, died after the vehicle he was in went over a guardrail on Broadway Street in North Huntingdon. Flowers mark the spot where he lost control of his car and went over the embankment.

Friends shared stories with Channel 11 about his ability to make everyone smile.

“He was always the kind of guy you could just call up and hang out with… It's just hard that he's gone,” said Airric Sellers, Dyson’s friend.

“He was goofy, fun to be around and a free spirit,” said Mia DiCristofaro, who went to Norwin High School with Dyson. “He was taken from us way too soon but I am forever thankful I met him.”

The Norwin School District is making counselors available to students this week.
