One arrested, another accused of passing counterfeit cash

Police have one person in custody and are looking for another, accused of passing fake cash in Westmoreland County.

The fake $100 bills were stamped with the words "motion picture use only."

Pennsylvania State Police said the couple is accused of hitting three different stores across two counties last week.

According to police, Tiffany Blattenberger went inside the BP on Route 982 in Bradenville and tried to get change for the counterfeit $100 bill to get lottery tickets.

But the clerk behind the counter used the marker pen and the bill didn't pass.

The woman took off before police got there.

That same day, Latrobe police say they had the same encounter inside the Puff N Stuff.

Mark Snyder is accused of trying to pass the $100 bill with the same transaction, but it didn't work.

Meanwhile, troopers in Indiana County say the fake cash made its way there, too.

They took two reports for counterfeit motion picture money and positively identified the suspects through former classmates and social media.
