A school fight caught on camera has a local parent very concerned.
She reached out to Channel 11 to see if we could get to the bottom of what’s being done about it.
The video shows one student throwing punches at another student’s head, one after another, as the victim on the ground curls up in a ball.

A concerned Shaler Area School District parent sent the disturbing video to Channel 11, telling us this fight happened in a high school restroom and she’s been worried about fights in the school district since the beginning of the school year.
Channel 11 reached out to Superintendent Sean Aiken about the number of fights and asked him if anything was being done.
He responded in an email, saying, “The safety and security of our students and staff is our top priority, and we are focused on providing a safe learning environment for all.”
While he would not comment on specific discipline issues, he went on to say, “This is definitely not an ongoing issue. I don’t have a specific number but it’s not a significant number.”
Aiken did tell Channel 11 he’d be willing to reach out to the parent to discuss her concerns.
