PITTSBURGH — PennDOT drivers are already out and about in Allegheny County putting brine on the roads ahead of Thursday night's expected snowfall.
The precipitation will be a bit of a challenge because it is supposed to come at rush hour, which makes it a little more difficult for the salt and plow drivers.

PennDOT is also monitoring the big storm forecast for this weekend.
"We're out pretreating the roads now with brine and we're preparing, we're putting plows on all of our trucks, making sure that all of our men and equipment are ready for the storm," said Angelo Pampena with PennDOT.
Another impact of the storm is that some Amtrack trains through the northeast corridor have been canceled, including the 42 and 43 Pennsylvanian trains from Pittsburgh through Harrisburg, Philadlphia and New York on Sunday,
