Pittsburgh among 238 proposals Amazon received for 2nd headquarters

Amazon says it received 238 proposals from cities and regions hoping to be the home of the company's second headquarters.  Pittsburgh is among them.

The online retailer kicked off its hunt for a second headquarters in September.

The Pittsburgh region officially submitted its bid to Amazon last week, a move that could bring 50,000 jobs and $5 billion in investment.  Amazon made clear that tax breaks and grants would be a big deciding factor on where it chooses to land.

Officials have stayed tight-lipped about the specific tax incentives offered, but said they expect other factors such as the cost of living and amount of talent to play a bigger role in the decision.

Officials even created a heartwarming video about Pittsburgh to go along with their Amazon bid.

Amazon isn't giving a timetable on when it will make a decision on its second headquarters but said it will be fully equal to its Seattle home.
