A man wanted on three warrants for failing to register as a sex offender was arrested in Mt. Oliver on Thursday.
Nelson Diggs, 53, originally from McKeesport, was taken into custody without incident, according to the Allegheny County Sheriff’s Department.

Deputies learned Diggs, who had given a false address to state police when registering, was staying in Mt. Oliver with his sister, Cheryl Awkward.
Deputies tracked the pair to Awkward’s boyfriend’s apartment, which the department said was odd, because Awkward's boyfriend had filed a protection from abuse order against her. Deputies arrested Diggs for the sex offender warrants and Awkward for allegedly violating the PFA.
Both are currently housed in the Allegheny County Jail.
