“I checked his pulse and we knew he had passed away,” Voith said.

Neighbors showed Channel 11 where the victim was found right next to the yellow sign, so police say it's possible someone was coming around the bend and hit the victim and thought they might have hit an animal

"I would like to know what happened because it doesn't seem like everything is adding up right," Voith said.

Police are asking anyone who was on Snowden Road between 9:30 and 9:50 on the night of Oct. 9 and might have seen something to give them a call. Callers may remain anonymous.
