PLUM, Pa. — Allegheny County Police made an arrest in a fatal car accident that killed two people in Plum in August.
Investigators charged Edward Cass, III, 25, for causing the crash on Route 286 near the Pine Valley Plaza that killed two people and injured a third.
Investigators said Michael Zier, 17, a junior firefighter and a student at Highlands High School, was riding in the car with his girlfriend and her mother Beth Ann Beveridge, 43. Zier and Beveridge were killed in the crash.
Investigators said Cass, III was impaired when the crash happened.

Cass, III is facing several charges including two counts of homicide by vehicle while DUI and possession of a controlled substance.
Cass, III turned himself into police Friday. He remains in the Allegheny County Jail awaiting arraignment.
