UNIONTOWN, Pa. — A police chase ended Monday in the back of a Uniontown home.
It started when troopers tried to pull over a driver for a traffic violation.

The chase ended when the man crashed into an apartment where children slept inside.
According to police, the driver, Benjamin Rudolph from Republic, slammed into a building in Pershing Court after leading troopers on a chase.

When they tried to pull him over, troopers say he wouldn't stop and after he crashed, took off running, leading to a foot chase.

Troopers eventually caught him and charged him with causing a catastrophe.
The family that was inside is safe, but their apartment was severely damaged.
Randolph is being held in the Fayette County Jail.
