Channel 11 was first on the scene as police combed through the Chocolate Moose, a chocolate shop in the heart of the business district.

Investigators are trying to figure out how someone got inside the building.

A couple of interior doors were kicked in.  Investigators dusted them looking for fingerprints.

The owner said an attempt was made to break into the store's safe and cash register, but fortunately it was unsuccessful.

Shoppers said a burglary is unusual for the area.

“It's been always a safe neighborhood, Squirrel Hill, so just want to make sure it stays safe," shopper Olga Shashko said.

Police said no arrests have been made.
