Police investigating drug-related shooting in Kennedy Township

KENNEDY TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Police in Kennedy Township are investigating a drug-related shooting that sent one man to the hospital early Tuesday afternoon.

According to Allegheny County Police, officers were called to a home on Van Buren Circle at 12:52 p.m. for a reported shooting.

When they arrived, they found a 21-year-old man who had been shot in the torso. That man was taken to an area hospital, where he is listed in stable condition.

Multiple witnesses told police they saw the person involved in the shooting flee the area in a 2007 gold Mercury Milan with Pennsylvania license plate KLS 0975.

Anyone who sees that vehicle is asked to call 911 immediately.
