PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh police are investigating two separate robberies that occurred within minutes of each other in the city's Shadyside neighborhood.
The robberies happened Monday around 10 p.m.
In both incidents, a masked gunman demanded the victim’s belongings. He got away with computer equipment, a phone, credit cards, and other items, police said.
The first robbery took place near the corner of South Highland and Walnut streets. Police say the suspect was wearing a mask from the movie 'Scream' when he approached a woman and demanded her backpack and phone.
Officers say another robbery took place minutes later on Walnut Street near Shady Avenue. That victim reported a masked gunman who demanded her phone and wallet.
No injuries were reported.
