Police looking for man who robbed Castle Shannon 7-Eleven

CASTLE SHANNON, Pa. — Police are asking for the public’s assistance identifying the man who robbed a convenience store in Castle Shannon.

The robbery happened about 5 a.m. on July 17 at the 7-Eleven on Mt. Lebanon Boulevard.

Investigators said the man walked into the store and began talking with the clerk. He then walked behind the counter with a knife, demanded all of the money in the cash register and pushed and attacked the clerk.

The clerk was able to run to a back room after the physical altercation with the man, who ran from the store.

The man is described as black, in his 50s and between 5’ 7” and 5’ 10” tall. He had a medium build, was balding and had some gray facial hair. He was wearing a worn-out gray shirt and black pants and had poor hygiene.

Investigators said the man, who might go by the name Kevin or the alias “L.A. Boss,” is known to frequent the area of Federal Street in Pittsburgh’s North Side.

Anyone with information is asked to call Pittsburgh Crime Stoppers at 412-255-8477. A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the man.
