• Man claims backpack that provoked police response at Waterworks Mall

Police cruisers and fire trucks blocked off part of the Waterworks Mall Friday morning after authorities responded to a report of a suspicious package.
After a few minutes, it was determined the backpack in question belonged to a man who had left it with no ill intent and the scene was cleared.

Emergency vehicles and police tape cordoned off an area in front of the Barnes & Noble store at the retail complex in Pittsburgh's Lincoln-Lemington-Belmar neighborhood before the man was located.
