Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a robbery suspect in Lower Burrell.
A 5’10” white male with a thin build wearing a hoodie and a mask robbed the McDonald’s on Leechburg Road around 10:45 p.m. on Friday, police said.

He fled the store on foot heading east toward Washington Avenue.
The robbery occurred about a mile from the scene where a Lower Burrell police officer had been fatally shot about two hours earlier.
Police are investigating whether the robber is connected with similar crimes in the area. Lower Burrell police are asking anyone with information to call them at 724-339-4287.
