Officers rushed to Hawkins Middle School in Mason County, near Seattle, after a report of an active shooter in the school cafeteria.

When officers arrived, they learned there was no active shooter in the school.
The superintendent told NBC affiliate KING 5 that a student was taken into custody at the high school earlier today on reports that he had a gun.
