PLUM BOROUGH, Pa. — A section of Hulton Road in Plum Borough is closing Monday morning for emergency railroad crossing repairs.
The closure will be in place starting 7:30 a.m. Monday between Morath Lane and Frankland Drive, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said. The closure will last continuously through 6 p.m. Friday.
The following detour will be posted:
North of the crossing
- Take Hulton Road to Coxcomb Hill Road (Route 2082)
- Turn right onto Coxcomb Hill Road
- Turn right onto Logans Ferry Road (Route 2075)
- Turn right onto Leechburg Road (Route 2075)
- At the intersection with New Texas Road, bear right and continue on Leechburg Road (Route 2086)
- At the intersection with Unity Trestle Road, bear right and continue on Leechburg Road
- Continue straight onto Milltown Road (Route 2058)
- Follow Milltown Road back to Hulton Road
- End detour
South of the crossing
- Same detour in the opposite direction
PennDOT is not involved in the work, which will be conducted by the Bessemer and Lake Erie Railroad.
