Series of home break-ins puts community on high alert

SQUIRREL HILL, Pa. — Neighbors are on alert in Squirrel Hill after a series of home break-ins.

Surveillance video shows a burglar in action in the Murdoch Farms community.

Police say the man broke into seven homes on Iverness and Squirrel Hill avenues in the past two weeks.

Eleven cars have been broken into in the past month.

The crimes have been happening in the early overnight hours.
