Shoppers claim online company grabbed bargains to sell at a profit

INDIANA, Pa. — Holiday bargains were apparently scooped up before customers could buy them in Indiana.

Viewers alerted us to what allegedly happened at a Walmart there, where they claim an online company grabbed all the bargains to then sell at a profit.

Customers were not happy about it.

One viewer told Channel 11 a third party company came in before the store's sale started, loaded up and then cashed out at 6 p.m. with all the sale toys and items.

"It's very frustrating because I saw a lot of young, hard-working people up here in Indiana," said Edmund Porta, who sent us photos and videos of the alleged incident. "I just think, at that point, Walmart should say, 'I'm sorry, we cant let you buy all that stuff.' Like, you can only have five of each item or something like that."

Walmart couldn't confirm what happened, but said it's looking into it.
