Channel 11's Steven Fisher reported that the room where the fire began was completely gutted and it is unlikely that the shop would be open on Wednesday.

"He has too much heat and smoke damage right now, and there’s a lot of cleanup to do before he can reopen,” Tarentum Fire Chief Terry Shmabon said.

An apartment on the second floor was not occupied.

No one was hurt. Neighbors came to the scene to help the owner clean up.

Fisher reported that the owner stood in the street and fixed a woman's phone, even though his shop was not open.

"He’s a very well liked business person in the borough of Tarentum," Shambon said. "Everybody knows Jay."
