JEANNETTE, Pa — A jewelry thief waved his right to a preliminary hearing today after stealing $37,000 worth of jewelry from Jake’s Haggle Hut in Jeannette last month.
Kenneth Rossi was found with three bags of stolen jewelry, with tags still attached, according to police. This was after he allegedly overdosed inside the North Huntington Township PNC Bank.

Police say the jewelry that Rossi was caught with connects him back to the smash and grab at the business in February.
Jake’s Haggle Hut owner, Jake Cunningham, is happy to be getting some of his jewelry back.
"A lot it is just plain gold chains and rings and I didn't think I'd ever see it so I'm very happy I got what I did so far,” said Cunningham.
It will probably take him three to four days to identify all the jewelry that is missing.
Despite having cameras in place at the time of the theft, Cunningham put in place more protection.
"We put up the gates yesterday in front of the whole store, beefed up the security a little more... put the jewelry away now every night," said Cunningham.
