HOPEWELL TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A truck was found abandoned in Beaver County.

Police said the driver is a man wanted for running over his girlfriend with that truck.

She used the Find My iPhone app because she had his number programmed in it as well.

She hit a few buttons and tracked his every move for law enforcement.

Police chased the vehicle onto a Hopewell Township dead-end street.

Officers said the man who bailed out of the truck is Ryan Conner.

He's wanted for assaulting his girlfriend earlier in the day with his work truck.

Detectives said Conner hit her with his back bumper, she fell and he ran over her with the attached trailer.

"He knew he hit her and took off," Detective Sgt. Tom Gonczi with Center Township police said.

Conner had his cellphone on him so when his girlfriend called 911, she used the app to track his every move for dispatchers.

"Hopewell tried to pull him over, but he took off," Gonczi said.

When Conner got to the dead-end street, he had nowhere to go and bailed out into the woods, running so fast he lost his boots.

Police believe he either turned his phone off or it died.

Conner will be charged with aggravated assault. The victim has a neck injury and a possible broken leg.
