The family discovered on Easter that someone had stolen the portrait of 6-day-old Skyler Guy, which was part of her grave marker.

“I got a call from my aunt on Sunday morning saying her picture is gone, and I said, ‘What do you mean, it’s gone? It doesn't just come off of there,’” said the baby’s mother, Kelcie Kuhns, of South Park. “Who takes something like that from a baby? It's not just her picture. Other things have gone missing. It's ridiculous (that) somebody would do that.”

The vandalism happened at the Westmoreland Memorial Park in Greensburg. The sales director of the park said this was an isolated incident.

The director said there is no evidence that the grave could have been damaged by anyone from their staff using heavy machinery or a lawn mower, and said it would take forceful leverage to remove the portrait.

Kuhns said she is hoping more protective measures will be added so no one else will have to go through this.

“I would like to see some more security -- anything from closing a gate, or cameras here or there, some kind of security so we have a sense of what's going on,” Kuhns said. "They're not random people you throw in there. That's family and loved ones and people that mean a lot to you and, for them to be disrespected, what else should we do?"

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
