Victim of cyber abuse speaks out after suspect's arrest

ROCHESTER, Pa. — A Beaver County woman claims she was held hostage by a cyber stalker who spent years sending threats and child pornography to her phone.

The same man is now accused of targeting dozens of people.

"He threatened to kill, rape us, kill our kids, rape our kids. Sell our kids," said the woman who asked Channel 11 to protect her identity for safety reasons.

She says she was cyber stalked, threatened and sent child pornography through several phone apps and claims Brent "Twerky" Cotman is responsible.

"A guy hiding behind text apps, cell phones, Facebook pages, catfishing, child porn, death threats, rape threats," she said.

A joint, year-long investigation led the FBI, Beaver County District Attorney's Office and Office of the Attorney General Child Predator Unit to arresting Cotman.

Investigators believe Cotman sent unsolicited child pornography to 40 victims between 2016 and 2017.

Investigators say he was using the apps "Text Now" and "Enflick," which would create new phone numbers that would just disappear.

This victim says she never even met Cotman and alleges he would use social media to look for her in public.

"He apparently saw me because he said, 'I saw you in your pink leopard shoes.' He described everything that I was wearing to a T."

Investigators eventually confronted Cotman and questioned him about IP addresses, text messages and phone numbers.

They recovered 13 different cellphones from his mother's house where he lived.

Some of those phones had pictures of child porn on them which matched up to what victims were sent.

His mother told investigators he's constantly on the phone and uses several.

"He's gonna pay for what he's done," the victim said. "He's gonna pay for the people that he's tortured and tormented."
