Highland Street at Oxford Drive closed to outbound traffic, and all traffic must exit at Fort Couch Road.
Police initially said there were "major and multiple" breaks, but Pennsylvania American Water Company officials told Channel 11 there is only one break.
Water has been restored to all affected customers.
PAWC officials are still trying to determine where the leak is coming from and that repairs are expected to take several hours.
