A Manor Township mother is facing murder charges after police say she attacked her husband with a hatchet in their bed.
The Armstrong County district attorney filed a murder charge Tuesday against Melanie Snyder, wife and mother of three.
Snyder is charged with attacking her husband with a hatchet while he slept in the couple's bed last July.

Officials said Snyder's three children, 17, 13 and 6 years old, witnessed parts of the assault.
They not only called 911, but one of them allegedly got the weapon away from their mother.
Husband Thomas Snyder suffered major injuries to his head and neck, staying in the hospital exactly five months.
He died two days after Christmas from pneumonia as a result of the attack, according to the coroner.
The police aren't sharing a motive, saying it will all come out at trial.
Police told Channel 11 the three children are being well-cared-for by family.
Snyder has been behind bars since the July attack. She's back in court in February.
