Woman accused of chasing ex-boyfriend, slamming into his car

Greensburg police have arrested and charged a woman accused of chasing after her ex-boyfriend and slamming into his car multiple times.

Natasha Herald, 21, is facing several charges including aggravated assault and stalking in connection to the Thursday afternoon incident.

Police say Herald rammed her ex-boyfriend’s car over and over again in a fit of rage and then tried to speed away.

“Her airbag deployed and she just patted it down like it was normal, like it was all fine. No sooner than I called 911, I saw two police cruisers flying by," said Felecia Campbell, whose car was hit by Herald's.

Herald is now sitting in the Westmoreland County Prison after police say she went after her ex-boyfriend after a court hearing Thursday.

Herald was set to face a judge on prior charges for allegedly assaulting the man last month.

Police paperwork states Herald left the postponed court hearing and spotted her ex leaving with another woman.

That’s when police say she hid and waited for him outside of his apartment. He saw her there and tried to get away from her.

She then followed him and rammed his car over and over and over again through several city blocks, according to police.

Eventually, he escaped by driving to city hall, police said.

But police say she wasn’t done yet -- as she fled, she crashed into Campbell’s car and then smashed into a fire hydrant outside of an apartment on West Second Street.

“I heard this big bang and I was, like, 'What was that?' So I looked out the window and I saw that somebody had hit my car," Campbell said.

She said Herald appeared unfazed and things continued to turn strange.

“Her parents were standing outside and her parents said, 'Do you know Natasha?' and I said, 'No! But she just hit my car," Campbell said.

Eventually, police arrested Herald.

Police say Herald’s car has extensive damage, but no one was hurt.

Herald has not posted bond.
