County police say they eventually learned Mandrick took numerous withdrawals and wrote out checks to cash some between $1,000 and $3,000 at a time.

They also allege she wrote checks to herself and others for unknown expenses.

Over the two years under investigation, investigators believe Mandrick spent $414 on legitimate PTA expenses and made 18 fraudulent transactions stealing more than $19,000.

She allegedly used the money to pay personal utility and medical bills, and for clothing, groceries, and pet supplies.

Mandrik is facing theft and forgery charges. She turned herself in Thursday morning and will be in court for her preliminary hearing on Oct. 15.
