A Penn Hills woman is facing charges after police say she falsely reported an attempted child abduction at a local park.
The Oakmont Police Department filed charges of one count of false reports to law enforcement against Nicole Linn, 24.
In a social media post, Oakmont Police Chief Michael Ford said, "After completing the investigation, we are confident the reported attempted abduction did not occur in Riverside Park or elsewhere on 8/20/17."

Linn told police that a she and her 18-month-old son were at the park when a man tried to carry the boy out of the park.
Linn told investigators the man left when she confronted him.
