Woman claims neighbor was lurking, looking into her Butler County home

BUTLER TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A mother recorded a man lurking outside her Butler County home, peeping through the window.

The woman told Channel 11 she doesn't know how long her neighbor has been doing this, but he was caught on camera and that led to his arrest.

"This man has totally destroyed our lives," said the woman, who doesn't want to reveal her identity, but said her neighbor has been peeking in through her windows for months, and she even beliveves he broke into her home one night and stole a pair of her underwear. She wasn't home, but her daughter was.

"She heard footsteps downstairs, assumed it was me and encountered a strange man in my home," she said.

She installed her own security cameras and showed Channel 11 these videos of the suspect walking around the outside of her home on several occasions.

Police said it's Ronald Worst and they arrested him last week, although he was not charged with stealing anything from her home.

"To know someone has been watching when you've been so oblivious rocks you to the core," the woman said.

She hasn't been able to sleep in her own home, she posted no trespassing signs and changed all the locks, but with little comfort.

"Every little noise in the house is him coming through window, coming through the door, walking on the back porch," she said.

Channel 11 went to Worst's house to get his side of the story but he declined to comment.

"It's very uncomfortable knowing he lives right behind me and he's a free man and the only thing keeping him is a restraining order, which is a piece of paper," she said. "I don't have words to express what I feel for him. I didn't ask for this and I didn't deserve this. Hell hath no fury like a woman."

Worst has a court date next month.
