PITTSBURGH — A woman crashed her car Thursday morning while driving her boyfriend, who had been shot, to the hospital, police said.
Officers were on their way to Dubois Street in this city's Sheraden neighborhood about 5:45 a.m. when they were flagged down by the woman, who crashed in the Corliss Tunnel.
Police said the woman's 28-year-old boyfriend was in the car. He had been shot in the upper abdomen and the lower leg.

Paramedics took the man from the crash scene to UPMC Mercy Hospital.
Investigators said it is believed that the man was shot while walking to his car after leaving a home on Dubois Street.
Neighbors told Channel 11 News that they heard several gunshots, followed by a scream for help.
Police say the victim is in stable condition.
The investigation is still ongoing.
