Alanis Morissette announces 'Jagged Little Pill' tour to mark iconic album's 25th anniversary

Morissette, 45, who hit the pop charts in 1995 with "You Oughta Know," "Ironic" and "Hand in My Pocket," will be releasing new music next year, Rolling Stone reported.

Morissette has already released the lead single from her ninth studio album, "Such Pretty Forks in the Road." The song "Reasons I Drink" can be found on Spotify, Apple Music and Pandora. According to Morissette's website, presales of the album begin Dec. 10; the album will be released May 1, 2020.

It will be Morissette's first album since "Havoc and Bright Lights" was released in 2012, Rolling Stone reported.

The tour, which Morissette announced on her website, will feature Garbage and Liz Phair. The 31-stop tour begins June 2 in Portland, Oregon, Billboard reported.

The tour will then stop in Seattle, Salt Lake City, Los Angeles, Dallas, Charlotte, Toronto and Cincinnati before ending July 25 in Nashville, Tennessee, the magazine reported.

Meanwhile, Morissette is enjoying a resurgence thanks to a Broadway adaptation of "Jagged Little Pill" this year, according to Rolling Stone. The musical will debut Thursday at New York's Broadhurst Theatre, the magazine reported.
