A new documentary on the life of musician Chris Cornell is in the works by Brad Pitt and Peter Berg’s production company, Film 45.
Cornell's widow, Vicky Karayiannis, is set to produce it, according to Variety.
The frontman for Soundgarden and Audioslave died by suicide after a show in Detroit in May 2017.
A representative for Cornell's estate confirmed to Variety a documentary is planned, but released no more details.
Cornell just won a posthumous Grammy Award on Sunday night, the third of his career, for best rock performance for his song “When Bad Does Good.” His children – daughter Toni, age 14, and son Christopher, 13 -- accepted the award for him at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

"It's was very difficult," Toni told reporters backstage after the show, according to news reports.
“We miss him so much and we saw him work on this so hard. He was always working on his music [because] it was his passion. It was really sad, in a way, to feel like he couldn’t be there himself to accept it for something that he was so proud of and worked so hard on.”
“We’re so proud of him,” she said. “It was amazing.”

Cornell received 16 Grammy nominations during his 25-plus-year musical career and won best metal performance with Soundgarden for “Spoonman” and “Black Hole Sun.”
Cornell and his band Soundgarden first came to mainstream attention in 1994 with the album "Superunknown." Cornell also collaborated with members of soon-to-be super rock group Pearl Jam in 1991 in the group Temple of the Dog, and he went solo after the breakup of Soundgarden in 1997, forming the band Audioslave, which disbanded in 2007. He reunited with Soundgarden in 2012 and had been touring with the band when he died.
