ORLANDO, Fla. - President-elect Donald Trump spoke to a crowd of over 11,000 people during his Thank You Tour stop in Orlando on Friday night, where he said that many of his supporters were "violent" during the campaign season.

"You people were vicious, violent, screaming, 'Where's the wall? We want the wall!' Screaming, 'Prison! Prison! Lock her up!' I mean, you are going crazy," he said. "I mean, you were nasty and mean and vicious, and you wanted to win, right?

"But now, it's much different. You're laid back, you're cool, you're mellow, right? You're basking in the glory of victory. Now, you're mellow and you're cool and you're not nearly as vicious or violent, right? Because we won, right?"

Though Trump said during the campaign that his rallies were some of the "safest (places) on Earth," multiple Trump supporters were were charged with assault for attacking protesters at different rallies.

Critics have said the President-elect went as far as to support violence during the campaign.

Trump told supporters at an Iowa rally in February to "knock the crap out of" would-be hecklers, and in March, he said he would look into paying the legal fees of a Trump supporter that punched a protester at a rally in North Carolina.

"Whatever happened to the deplorables, right? They're not so deplorable," Trump said Friday mocking Hillary Clinton. "They're not so deplorable anymore."

Trump said Saturday that he was just mocking the media when he made the comments calling supporters "vicious" and "violent."

"I was talking a lot of fun over the last couple of days," Trump said Saturday. "I said, 'You know, prior to the election, you people were strong and vicious and violent, and you wanted to win -- now I'm saying it kiddingly, right? ... And we all were laughing and having fun, right? ... Today, a couple of the groups ... they're saying, 'See we were right. Donald Trump is calling his people vicious.' ... These people are so bad."

Trump went on to call the media dishonest.
