Wilma Price spotted a homeless man named Patrick holding a sign that read, “Dog in pound. Need help” outside her local Walmart store in Texas.

"He seemed like a nice, gentle soul who just happened to have a hard life," Price told Inside Edition. "He looked like a big kid who just lost his puppy."

Patrick told Price about his dog, Franklin. After running into some trouble, Franklin was sent to the pound, and it cost $120 to get him out.

Price helped cover some of the cost and within two days, Franklin was back in Patrick’s arms. The fee covered a rabies shot, heartworm test, flea prevention and a $35 impoundment fee.
